Mar Reykjavik has a master’s degree from MasterLav Laboratory of Contemporary Audiovisual Creation and is a graduate in Fine Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
She has recently completed a residency at the NKF studios in Stockholm, and has been a resident in Residencias de Creación Matadero Madrid, Cultura Resident, Centro Huarte, Resistencias del GVA, Artistas Residencia del CA2M and La Casa Encendida and Fundación Bilbaoarte Fundazioa. Her work has been shown in national venues such as Galería Rosa Santos, IVAM, Pols, La Posta in Valencia, CA2M, La Casa Encendida and Cineteca de Matadero in Madrid, Angels Barcelona, Can Felipa, Fundación Joan Brossa in Barcelona and international venues such as SupermarketArtFair Stockholm, Centro Cultural La Recoleta in Buenos Aires, Spacio Franco in Palermo, SYSTEMA in Marseille and the Musée d’art contemporain de Lyon within the 16ème Biennial of Lyon.
She combines her artistic practice with teaching, having worked in spaces such as Master Lav Laboratory of Contemporary Audiovisual Creation and the Contemporary Art Space in Castelló, among others.
