Orbelen Intziriak is a poem consisting of 19 parts. It came into existence in 2020 with Itxaro Borda’s collection entitled Abaro, which was published by Balea Zuria. They are fragments of life where spilled blood and breath are perceived. We could say that it is a journey between the word Abaro and term zululu, much like a game that, while still a game, manages to capture the pain of daily life.
Itxaro Borda will present this creation together with musician Olivier Cavalié Kako on 24 June. This is not the first time that these two artists have worked together. In 2008 and 2013, they toured Aquitaine and the Basque Country with the works entitled Ogella Line and Guhaur arrotzak/A nous même étrangers, respectively. Two records bear witness to these experiences.
