crys cole is a Canadian sound artist based in Berlin whose work includes composition, improvised performance and sound installation. Working with subtle and imperfect sounds often generated through haptic gestures and seemingly mundane materials, she creates texturally nuanced works that continuously retune the ear. Cole has performed worldwide both solo and in an array of collaborations and has ongoing duos with Oren Ambarchi, and with James Rushford as Ora Clementi. Her work has been published by Black Truffle (AU), Penultimate Press (UK), Ultra Eczema (BE), Second Editions (DE), Boomkat (UK), Bocian (PL), Another Timbre (UK), Students of Decay (US) and Infrequency editions (CA/DE). She has exhibited in Canada, Russia, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, the UK and Thailand. In 2022 she released two solo albums; A Piece of Work on Second Editions (DE) and Other Meetings on Black Truffle (DE).
