The conference ‘Big Data. Culture and Libraries’ will address the types of data created and managed in the present day in order to raise awareness and promote a dialogue around these themes. How does Big Data change access to culture? What does it bring to cultural creation? What is the role of libraries and/or librarians in the Big Data context?
We’ll be joined by top experts to discuss and reflect on the theme and to play with data in a workshop setting.
The Library Day programme will be split into two parts: a morning session in which conferences and a round table will be held (registration required here) and an afternoon worshop about data display (registration required here).
Download the whole programme here (only in Basque ans Spanish).
This year, during the encounter and in the course of the workshops we shall delve into the world of Big Data and Smart Cities.
